The security firm Coopservice has launched a recruitment drive for more than 100 licensed security guards to work at Olbia Airport. The initiative, announced on Friday 16 October, concerns airport security and involves checks and surveillance to protect passengers, staff and airport infrastructure.

Those selected will carry out checks on departing and transit passengers, verify access documents and inspect hand luggage using dedicated equipment. Duties will also include guarding and monitoring airport areas, escort services and operational support in coordination with the relevant authorities. The role may involve patrolling in company vehicles.

The company offers a programme of on-the-job training and ongoing professional development to prepare staff for airport security duties. Applicants must meet certain educational and professional requirements, as well as have personal qualities suited to a role that calls for attentiveness and the ability to work with others.

The requirements for the selection process are:

  • upper secondary school diploma;
  • English proficiency at least at B2 level;
  • a valid private security guard licence and ENAC certification to work at an airport;
  • good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work as part of a team.

Applicants who do not yet have a private security guard licence or ENAC certification may still apply, provided they are willing to complete the training programme to obtain them. Training is therefore also available to those who need to complete the qualifications required to work at the airport.

The gross annual salary starts at €18,115 and is determined according to experience and skills. The package also includes meal vouchers, team-building activities, training, company discounts and a welcome kit.
