TheUniversity of Sassari takes part in Sharper, the European Researchers' Night, an initiative promoted by the European Commission within the Marie Curie actions. The city of Sassari has been selected as one of the 13 partner cities of the project, which aims to reduce the distance between the academic world and the citizenship through outreach activities, workshops, and debates.
The program and locations
The beating heart of the event will be the ground floor of the Padiglione Tavolara, where 23 stands managed by university departments and local research institutions will be inaugurated on September 24. In this space, professors and students will offer practical experiences and exhibitions. While the mornings will be reserved for schools, with the participation of over a thousand Sardinian students, on the afternoon of September 25 access will be free for all families and visitors interested in learning more about the university's activities, where students ask for more spaces and growth opportunities.
Parallelly, the great hall of the central headquarters in Piazza Università will host significant appointments. On September 24, a round table on university prison hubs will be held, while on September 25, the scientific departments will lead an educational path on the human body, focusing on the brain and the fight against antibiotic resistance. The official closing is scheduled for the evening of September 25 at 8:15 PM with a presentation by physicist Riccardo Azzali.
- Theatrical show Studi su Salomè: scheduled for the evening of September 23 at the Nuovo Cineteatro Astra.
- Botanica WOW! event: scheduled for the afternoon of September 24 at the Botanical Garden in via Piandanna.
