Urania Milano-Dinamo Sassari, it all begins at the Allianz Cloud
The wait is over. Sunday, September 27 at 6:00 PM Dinamo Banco di Sardegna will officially inaugurate its Serie A2 Old Wild West 2026/27 season, facing Wegreenit Urania Milano at the Allianz Cloud.
For Luca Vitali's team, it will be the first official game of a 38-round championship, with 20 teams in a single group. After a preseason affected by several absences, Sassari arrives in Milan finally ready to test themselves in a game for the first two points of the season.

Vitali: "It will be a tough game"
On the eve of the Milan away game, Luca Vitali reviewed the work done in recent weeks.
The coach emphasized that Dinamo finally had two weeks of good training, although they still have to deal with some absences. The goal remains to progressively increase fitness and connection between the players.
Speaking about Urania, Vitali particularly highlighted the quality of the perimeter players and the Milanese team's ability to create play through the pick and roll.

Urania Milano, experience and talent on the perimeter
Dinamo will find a deeply renewed Urania on the other side, entrusted to Stefano Sacripanti, a coach with extensive experience at the highest levels of Italian basketball.
In the Wildcats' roster, Alessandro and Stefano Gentile stand out, along with American guard Tyreek Scott-Grayson, Matteo Pollone, Nazzareno Italiano, and Anthony Morse.
Milan closed the preseason with a 76-71 victory against Libertas Livorno, despite the precautionary absence of Alessandro Gentile and Morse's injury during the game. Stefano Gentile finished that test with 14 points, while Scott-Grayson scored 10.
An opponent that therefore appears particularly insidious for a Dinamo still searching for its chemistry.
Brooks captain of the new Dinamo
Among the most anticipated protagonists of the debut is Jeff Brooks, chosen as the captain of Dinamo 2026/27.
After a summer affected by physical recovery, Brooks managed to progress faster than expected in his journey. Vitali highlighted the forward's progress, while the player himself explained that he is ready to return to the court.

A new season begins for Dinamo
The Milan game will primarily be the first official test for the project entrusted to Luca Vitali.
The coach asked for time to build fitness, understanding, and identity, but has already pointed to ball sharing and group spirit as two of the positive aspects that emerged during preparation.
After the debut against Urania, Dinamo will return to Sassari: Sunday, October 4 at 6:00 PM the first home league game at PalaSerradimigni against Gema Montecatini is scheduled.
