How can we guide children as they grow up in an increasingly digital world? This is the focus of a meeting with Alberto Pellai, a doctor, child and adolescent psychotherapist and writer, taking place on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of the Mercede in Alghero. The discussion, entitled “Preparing for real life: how to protect children’s minds in the digital age,” is aimed in particular at parents, teachers and educators who work with children aged 0–6.
The event offers an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between childhood and digital tools: what skills and experiences are important to develop in everyday life, and what role can adults play? The discussion turns the spotlight on relationships, play, discovery, independence and interaction with others—all fundamental elements of growing up. The aim is to provide a space for listening and dialogue about the educational challenges facing families and schools, without losing sight of the quality of young children’s experiences.
