Wednesday October 21, 2026 the Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari hosts the Dole Rinascita Basket Rimini in the fifth round of the Serie A2 Old Wild West 2026/27. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at the PalaSerradimigni, in the season’s first midweek round.
Luca Vitali’s white-and-blue team comes into the game after an 80-70 home win over Sella Cento, taking their record to three wins in the first four rounds. After earning their first two points in front of their own fans, Sassari will look to build on that result and secure a third consecutive win.
Against Cento, Alessandro Grande, who scored 22 points, led Banco’s offense. The game also marked the return of Michele Vitali and Riccardo Pisano, giving the bench more rotation options ahead of the upcoming games.
Rimini, led by Sandro Dell’Agnello, represents a significant test for assessing Sassari’s progress. The Romagna team was a finalist in last season’s championship and has a squad that Grande, a former player for the team, knows well. Before traveling to Sardinia, Dole will face Gemini Mestre on Sunday, October 18.
For Dinamo, it will be important to maintain intensity and quality of play for all forty minutes, avoiding the lapses that against Cento allowed the visitors to make up the deficit. The support of the PalaSerradimigni crowd will spur Banco on before their next away game at Ruvo di Puglia, scheduled for October 25.
Those unable to attend in person can watch the championship live on LNP Pass, with a subscription that includes Serie A2.
