Friday 6 November 2026, at 7:30 pm, Cityplex Moderno in Sassari will host a screening of Se domani non torno, followed by a meeting with the public. Gino Cecchettin will take part via a live stream from Cineplex Moderno in Due Carrare: his testimony will therefore be broadcast during the Sassari event. The screening is scheduled for Hall 1.

The film

Directed by Paola Randi and based on the book Cara Giulia, the film tells the story of Giulia Cecchettin and her family, retracing the events before and after the young woman’s femicide in November 2023. The film draws on the book in which her father shared his grief at the loss, family memories and the path he embarked on after the tragedy. The film arrives in cinemas on 5 November 2026, and the Sassari screening will be in Italian.

  • Sabrina Martina plays Giulia.
  • Filippo Timi plays Gino Cecchettin.
  • The film’s stated running time is 106 minutes.

The meeting with the public

After the screening, the live stream will give the audience the opportunity to hear directly from Gino Cecchettin and listen to his testimony. The meeting accompanies the film with the family perspective that inspired both the book and its screen adaptation. The evening will take place at Cityplex Moderno in Sassari, while the live stream with Cecchettin will come from the venue in Due Carrare.
