Giuseppe Ninno – Citofonare Casa Imbarazzi is the second chapter of the theatrical project dedicated to the Imbarazzi family. After the first tour, the show moves the scene from the school desks to the home, using memories and habits from the 1990s to tell, with comedy and social observation, the story of family relationships then and now.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2027, at 9:00 p.m. at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari, on Viale Goffredo Mameli. The script moves through familiar family moments: waking up, homework giving way to video games, the influence of TV series and advertisements, and the contrast between the family doctor’s care and the remedies devised at home. Holidays, with Christmas taking center stage, also become an opportunity to observe family dynamics that change over time while remaining familiar.
The show
The story contrasts the strategies of the past with the changes brought by technology, from class groups to family groups. The family’s three pillars take turns on stage, accompanied by a live band. The set evokes the look of Italian sitcoms and pays tribute to Casa Vianello. Running approximately 90–100 minutes, the performance uses nostalgia not only to evoke an era, but also as a lens through which to view the present.
