The show
On Tuesday 29 December, the Teatro Politeama Verdi hosts I Love 80's, a show celebrating the music and imagery of the Eighties. A dance troupe, performers and actors take turns on stage, accompanied by sets, costumes, special effects and choreography. The show blends the decade’s great musical icons with references to films, TV series and styles that shaped pop-rock culture. It is presented as suitable for younger audiences too.
- Musical tributes include performances inspired by Freddie Mercury, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Elton John and Kate Bush.
- The dance performances evoke the titles and atmospheres of Flashdance, Grease, Happy Days, Blues Brothers, Footloose, Fame and Dirty Dancing.
