Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August, from 18:00 to 02:00, Pozzo San Nicola will once again celebrate Sardinian wine with the third edition of the Stintino Wine Festival. The spaces of Alle Cantine will host two evenings dedicated to the island’s wine production, local cuisine, handicrafts and live music. Admission to the event is free, while tastings and drinks can be purchased directly during the event.

Founded in 2024 with the aim of taking Sardinian wine beyond traditional trade-fair circuits and bringing it closer to a wider audience, the festival has grown rapidly. Following the success of the first two editions, with around 3,000 attendees in total in 2025, the event returns this year with an even richer offering.

There will be twelve wineries from different areas of Sardinia: Tenute Stintino, Tenute Delogu, Ledà, Cherchi, Tenute Rossini, Confraternita del Moscato, Tenute Costadoria, Tenute Pische, Vini Tramonti, Iolei di Oliena, Binzamanna and Silvio Carta. The experience will be completed by an expanded food area, new coordinated installations, craft exhibitors and a music programme spread over the two days.

Both evenings will begin at 18:00 with winetalks, meetings and conversations with producers, experts and local figures focusing on native grape varieties and the work of the wineries. From 19:00, it will be time for music.

On Friday 21 August, Gli Zeppara, Giuliano Marongiu and Maria Luisa Congiu will take the stage, followed by the closing DJ set. On Saturday 22, it will be the turn of Gavino Maricca, Small Feet Duo and Creuza de Ma, a tribute band dedicated to Fabrizio De André, an artist deeply connected to Sardinia. The festival will close with a DJ set by Madd.

A €15 Starter Kit will be available for participating in the tastings. It includes the official screen-printed Stintino Wine Festival 2026 wine glass, a personalised glass-holder pouch bearing the wineries’ logos and two drinks. Additional tickets can be purchased at the central cash desks for €4 each and used freely at the producers’ stands.

This year, the areas dedicated to the wineries will feature a single coordinated design, created to guide visitors on a journey through grape varieties, territories and production stories. It will also be possible to purchase bottles directly from the participating wineries.

Alongside the wine, there will be traditional Sardinian cuisine, including maialetto, malloreddus and fregula alla stintinese, one of the most representative dishes in the town’s maritime history, served with a wine selected for the occasion. Not simply an accompaniment to the tastings, but a true journey through the island’s flavours and identity.

The 2026 edition will also give space to local craftspeople, who will display their creations along the festival route, adding another story of Sardinia—told through local work and expertise—to the wine production.

Among this year’s new features is a play area for children, with inflatables and trampolines, designed to allow families to enjoy the festival throughout the evening.

With wine, gastronomy, music and local products, the Stintino Wine Festival is preparing to consolidate an event launched just three years ago but already capable of attracting tourists, enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the island to Pozzo San Nicola.
