The Teatro Astra di Sassari hosts on Thursday 20 August 2026 at 8 p.m. Once Upon a Time There Was a Puppet, the latest event in the seventh edition of The Children's Theatre, the summer series dedicated to children and families organised by the La Botte e il Cilindro theatre company.
Recommended for ages 4 and up, the show takes audiences young and old on a journey to discover the tale of Pinocchio, retold through two special guides: the Blue Fairy and the Talking Cricket. Through play, storytelling and direct audience participation, children will follow the famous puppet from Geppetto's workshop through encounters, temptations, mistakes and adventures that will lead him to better understand the world and himself.
The cast will include Daniela Cossu and Sara Giordanelli, directed by Pier Paolo Conconi. Puppets and costumes are by Luisella Conti.
