Walking for Life – One more step, one more helping hand is a non-competitive charity walk open to everyone, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the Rotonda di Platamona, on the Sassari coastline. The event supports humanitarian and volunteer associations: participants can choose which organization to support with their registration.
One of the associations involved is the San Damiano Social Cooperative. Contributions raised through kits designated for the cooperative fund projects supporting people with disabilities and their families, as well as awareness-raising activities on social inclusion. Program
- At 9:30 a.m., meet-up and last-minute registration, if kits are still available. Those who have purchased online can collect their kit from 9:00 a.m. at the gazebo of their chosen association.
- At 10:00 a.m., there will be official greetings and presentations of the associations; at 10:30 a.m., warm-ups and the walk’s start will take place.
- At 12:30 p.m., enjoy a charity picnic and social dancing with entertainment. The event ends at 2:00 p.m.
Registration and organization
Registration costs 15 euros and includes the official kit and refreshments. A T-shirt and drawstring bag are guaranteed to the first 2,500 registrants. You can register online or through the association you wish to support. The event is organized by SSD Social&Sports and MSP Italia – Sassari/Olbia committee, with logistical support from Lirù Eventi and the patronage of the Municipality of Sassari.
