Terms of Use — Il Sassarese Medio

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Il Sassarese Medio app for iOS and Android (the "App"), together with the features and content made available through it.

1. Service operator and acceptance

The App is operated by Il Sassarese Medio (the "Operator"). For information about the App, email [email protected].

By using the App, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App. If you use the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept the Terms for it.

2. Service and access

The App is an editorial and community service dedicated to Sassari. It may provide articles, guides, events, a dictionary, an archive, videos, polls, notifications and a digital card.

Home, Explore, public articles, guides, events and polls are normally available without registration. To react to articles and vote in polls, the App may create an anonymous technical identity after an anti-abuse check. Profile, Card, interests and Wallet require a free registered account. Some features depend on the device, platform or service configuration and may not always be available.

The App does not provide a native marketplace, chat, public comments, payments or donations. Merchandise and other initiatives linking to third-party websites or services are governed by the relevant operator's terms.

3. Accounts and security

If you create an account, you must provide accurate, complete and current information and protect your credentials. You may not share an account, use another person's identity or bypass authentication procedures.

The anonymous technical identity is intended only for polls and reactions and is not a member Profile. If you register, it may be converted or linked to the same user. If you sign in to an existing account, compatible interactions are transferred; in case of conflict, the interaction already recorded on the account takes precedence.

If you believe your account has been used without authorisation, contact support promptly. You can delete the account from the Profile section of the App; the effects of deletion and data processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Rules of use

You may use the App only lawfully, personally and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you may not:

• interfere with the App, its systems or other users' accounts;
• bypass technical limits, security measures or access controls;
• use bots, scraping or other automated tools without authorisation;
• falsify votes, reactions, notifications or other usage data;
• reinstall, erase data or create technical identities to bypass per-identity limits;
• use the App for unlawful, defamatory or discriminatory activity, or activity that infringes the rights of others.

The Operator may restrict or suspend access to an account where reasonably necessary because of unlawful use, a breach of these Terms, security requirements or legal obligations.

5. Editorial content

Articles, guides, events, dictionary definitions, videos and other content are provided for informational, cultural and editorial purposes. The Operator prepares content with reasonable care but does not guarantee that it is always complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Dates, times, availability, venues, prices and conditions for events or initiatives may change. Before attending, verify the information with the organiser or stated source. Content does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial or other advice.

Articles labelled Satire are satirical content. Third-party videos, links and materials remain the responsibility of their respective providers.

6. Polls and reactions

One reaction per technical identity or account is allowed for each article and may be changed or removed. One vote per identity or account is allowed for each poll and cannot be changed after submission. First participation may require Cloudflare Turnstile. Results are displayed under the rules communicated in the App, and individual interactions are not made public.

You may not alter, automate or attempt to influence reactions and polls artificially. The Operator may cancel or disregard interactions it reasonably considers irregular.

7. Digital card and Wallet

The Card is personal and linked to the account. Its QR contains an opaque technical code and is not a ticket, payment instrument, proof of event registration or automatic entitlement to benefits or discounts.

Where available, the Card may be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Use of those services is subject to Apple's or Google's terms. The Card currently does not enable event check-ins or benefit redemptions; future features will be governed by the applicable terms when introduced.

8. Notifications and external links

Push notifications are optional and can be managed in the App and device settings. Delivery also depends on operating systems and technical providers; the Operator does not guarantee that every notification will be received in real time or replace other communication channels.

The App may open links to websites, videos, stores, Wallet services or other external services. The Operator does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, terms or data processing.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its design, trademarks, logos, text, images, videos, guides and other content are protected by applicable law and belong to the Operator or their respective owners. Except where permitted by law, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish or commercially exploit them without prior written permission.

You may share content through the tools provided by the App, subject to the displayed instructions and third-party rights.

10. Availability, changes and liability

The Operator may update, change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the App or a feature for technical, organisational, security or legal reasons. Where reasonably possible, material changes will be communicated through the App or other appropriate channels.

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect loss, loss of data, loss of profit or interruptions arising from use or inability to use the App, the user's networks and devices, or third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights and liability that cannot be excluded by law remain unaffected.

11. Privacy

Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. System permissions, including notifications and tracking where applicable, can also be managed in device settings.

12. Changes to the Terms

The Operator may update these Terms. The current version states its latest revision date. Where required by law or reasonably possible, the Operator will give reasonable notice before material changes affecting users' rights or obligations take effect. Using the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. For questions or reports, email [email protected].
