The Rally Italia Sardegna faces its first full day of special stages on Friday 2 October, with six runs through Monte Acuto, Anglona and Gallura. The stage starts in Alghero and features 119.66 timed kilometres, as the event brings the 2026 WRC World Championship to a close and awards the season’s titles.

The rally, now in its 23rd edition, is scheduled from 1 to 4 October and comprises a total of 17 special stages covering around 307 timed kilometres. The Rally became the championship’s final round after the Saudi Arabia round was dropped from the calendar. Evans, Pajari and Solberg are among the drivers fighting for the title; the opening stage left the standings wide open, with just 2.21 kilometres covered out of 307.02 in total.

On Thursday, Oliver Solberg set the fastest time both in the Olmedo shakedown and in the Ittiri Arena Show superspecial stage. In the Ittiri event, the Swede, driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, finished eight tenths ahead of Sébastien Ogier; Elfyn Evans and Sami Pajari were 1.1 and 1.5 seconds behind, respectively. The best Italian crew was Trentin-Ometto, 17th in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.

The day features two runs each over three timed stages: Tula-Erula, 18.77 kilometres long; Su Filigosu-Lerno, at 17.83 kilometres; and Monti di Alà-Sa Conchedda-Lerno, at 23.23 kilometres. The latter stage starts from the Arena in Alà dei Sardi. The routes include changes of pace and gravel sections, which will test tyre management.

The times in the table below are those listed for the day’s stages and transfers. For spectators following the Tula-Erula stage, the Municipality of Erula has arranged free shuttle buses from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., departing from Erula and the hamlet of Sa Mela; parking and refreshment points will also be available.
