Thursday October 29 four rail connections between Sassari and Alghero will be operated by replacement buses, according to changes announced by Arst. The change affects two services departing from Sassari and two from Alghero, between the late afternoon and evening; the buses will run at the times scheduled for the trains.
The replacements affect services in both directions. Passengers should therefore check the code and time of their service and go to the bus stop, which does not always coincide with the entrance to the railway station.
Services replaced
- From Sassari, service AT 77 at 5:05 pm and AT 81 at 7:45 pm will be operated by bus.
- From Alghero, AT 80 at 6:40 pm and AT 84 at 9:15 pm will be replaced.
The departure times for the buses remain the same as those scheduled for the respective trains. The listed services will therefore not run at different times from the train schedule: the mode of transport is changing, as is the point from which the service departs or where it arrives.
Where to catch the buses and suspended stops
In Sassari, the bus will stop on Corso Vico, opposite the FS railway station. In Alghero and Olmedo, departures and arrivals will instead be at the forecourts of the respective stations. Passengers are advised to use these locations and arrive before the time indicated for their service.
The four services will not stop at the intermediate stops of Sassari Santa Maria, Molafà, San Giorgio, Arcone, Mamuntanas and Punta Moro. The suspension applies to the listed services, not to the entire line: anyone travelling to one of these locations should bear in mind that the replacement buses will not stop there.
The changes were announced by Arst in connection with the rail strike called by Usb. To plan their journeys, passengers can also consult the guide to getting around Sassari, bearing in mind that the replacement services will run at the times scheduled for the trains listed above.
