Three Porto Cervo Racing crews have qualified for the Italian Rally Cup National Final, scheduled for 14 and 15 November 2026 at the 61st Coppa Città di Lucca. The Emerald Coast team announced the news, having finished the Rally dei Nuraghi e del Vermentino in third place in the standings for teams and first among the Sardinian representatives.

The qualifiers are Auro Siddi and Marco Corda, Mirco Lorrai and Eleonora Murgia, Pietro Lilliu and Silvia Piras. They earned their places at the end of the Coppa Rally di Zona campaign, thanks to victories in their respective categories.

The Rally del Vermentino in review

The event, which ended on Sunday 1 November in Berchidda, took competitors over the gravel roads of Gallura and Monte Acuto. Porto Cervo Racing had entered eight crews in the Rally dei Nuraghi e del Vermentino, across several classes.

The team’s best finish in the overall standings came from Siddi and Corda, who placed fifteenth in the Skoda Fabia Evo. In Rally4, according to the team’s report, Mattia Ricciu and Giovanni Maria Mazzone took third place in a Peugeot 208. In the same class, Gabriele Angius and Stefano Achenza finished sixth, while Roberto Cocco and Giuseppe Maccioni came tenth.

There was also a podium finish for Lorrai and Murgia, who came third in Rally5 in the Renault Clio: they finished just six tenths of a second behind the second-place crew in their category.

Lilliu and Piras win in RS 1.6

Pietro Lilliu and Silvia Piras won the RS 1.6 class in the Citroën C2 VTS, adding another victory to the team’s tally. The team also highlighted their double class win this season in the Sardinia and Tuscany Coppa Rally di Zona events.

Alongside the sporting result, the crew carries a message against violence against women at competitions. President Mauro Atzei highlighted this commitment and, in the statement, chose to give prominence to the human values of the team’s representatives: “A team is measured not only by the trophies it wins, but above all by the people it brings together”.

The next event is in Lucca

The weekend also brought two disappointing outcomes. According to Porto Cervo Racing, Giorgio and Federico Cellino were excluded from the standings for receiving outside assistance while changing a tyre. Giovanni and Manuel Pileri retired on the eighth special stage after making contact, in the event that marked Manuel’s debut as co-driver.

Attention now turns to the Lucca National Final. The dates, 14 and 15 November, have been confirmed by the organiser: for the three qualified crews, it will be the decisive contest against competitors from the other Italian zones.
