The Dinamo Sassari return to winning ways and open November with the result they were looking for. At the PalaSerradimigni on Sunday, November 1, the biancoblù beat Juvecaserta 95-75 in the seventh round of the 2026/27 Serie A2 season, ending a run of two consecutive defeats.
The team coached by Luca Vitali responds to setbacks against Rimini and on the trip to Ruvo di Puglia. Their record improves to four wins and three losses, giving them eight points in the standings and their second home win of the season.
Monaldi and Nobili provide the early spark
Diego Monaldi immediately finds his range from beyond the arc, while Nicolò Nobili makes his presence felt near the basket. Caserta stays close, however, and the first quarter ends 20-19.
The visitors take the lead in the second quarter, but Sassari responds with three-pointers from Michele Vitali, Monaldi and Alessandro Grande. Grande himself makes two important baskets before halftime, with Banco heading into the break up 38-35.
The third quarter changes the game
Caserta starts the second half with four straight points and takes the lead at 38-39. Dinamo responds: Nobili scores from beyond the arc, then Joonas Riismaa helps extend the lead to 48-42.
Three-pointers from Grande and Brooks, along with Nobili’s presence and Aromando’s energy, extend the lead. Michele Vitali’s buzzer-beater ends the third quarter with the score at 67-54: a 29-19 run that puts the game on course.
Sassari protects its lead and regains confidence
In the final quarter, Riismaa, Monaldi and Brooks respond to the Campania side’s attempts to fight back. Grande adds points, Pisano scores from the corner, and Cipriano also gets some playing time late on. Banco closes out the game 95-75.
It is a welcome response against a newly promoted team that arrived in Sardinia after beating Mestre. The side coached by Lino Lardo had regained confidence in its previous games, but at the PalaSerradimigni Dinamo manages to build and protect a sizeable lead in the second half.
Sassari now face an away game: on Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m., the biancoblù will visit UEB Gesteco Cividale at the PalaGesteco in the eighth round of the season.
