The Raimond Sassari beat Orlando Haenna 37-23 at PalaSantoru on Sunday, October 4, securing their fifth win in the first five league matches. The victory took the Rossoblù to 10 points, keeping them unbeaten in the top flight. The team coached by Ratko Durkovic took control of the match from the opening minutes.

Sassari made a 7-0 run and did not concede their first goal until the 12th minute. Orlando struggled to find consistency, while Raimond managed their energy after playing three matches in seven days. Late in the first half, Stojanovski scored to make it 18-8, sending the teams into the locker rooms with a ten-goal margin.

The gap did not close after the break, and the Sassari side controlled the match through to the final score. One of the highlights of the second half was Mura’s return to scoring, with four goals: the player scored again after more than a year, following the serious injury he sustained in the summer of 2025 during a preseason friendly. The match ended without any significant change in its course.

For Raimond, Pugliese and De La Santa scored five goals each. Mura, Delogu, Mouriño and Stojanovski scored four apiece; Diagne, Ben Hiba and Furtado scored three each, while Bargelli and Jarlstam scored one apiece. Orlando Haenna’s top scorer was Mizzoni with six goals, followed by Bandini with five and Cocco and Rosso with four each.

The win against Orlando follows the 34-26 victory at Chiaravalle, which had kept Raimond unbeaten, and rounds off an intense week for the Sassari side. The team will now have a week to prepare for its next fixture, an away match against Pressano. The clash with the team from Trentino will be the standout match of the next round; Raimond comes into it with five wins and ten points in the standings. The previous win at Chiaravalle is covered in the report on the victory against Publiesse.
