The start of the championship for Raimond Sassari continues in the sign of victory. In the fourth day of the regular season of Serie A Gold, the rossoblù conquered the field of Publiesse Chiaravalle with a clear score of 34-26, consolidating an extremely positive trend.
Thanks to this success, the team led by Ratko Durkovic maintains full points with three wins in three games played, reaching six points in the standings. At the moment, the Sardinians are positioned only two points behind the leaders Pressano, who however played one more match. After the winning debut against Trieste, Raimond confirms its solidity on the court.
The course of the match
The match began with a balanced phase, but Raimond soon took control of the game, closing the first ten minutes leading 6-3. Despite a comeback attempt by Publiesse, which managed to equalize 11-11 at the 21st minute taking advantage of a temporary exclusion of Stojanovski, the Sardinians regained control closing the first half at 17-12.
In the offensive phase, captain Nardin shone, the top scorer of the match with seven goals. However, the performance of Alessandro Lubinati was fundamental, who between the posts neutralized the main opponent comeback attempts, earning the Co-MVP of the day award.
In the second half, Raimond managed the lead, progressively extending it until reaching a ten-goal gap towards the fiftieth minute. The end of the match saw only a partial recovery by Chiaravalle, without however affecting the outcome of the challenge. In the next round, the Sassari team will host Orlando Haenna.
