Torres drew 1-1 away to Campobasso in the eighth round of Serie C’s Group B, played on Sunday 4 October at the Molinari, with kick-off at 2:30 p.m. Alfonso Greco’s Rossoblù came back in the second half after falling behind in first-half stoppage time, taking a point and extending their positive run.
The hosts started more sharply and tested Zaccagno in the opening minutes: the Torres goalkeeper stopped Bifulco with a low save and, shortly afterwards, watched Isaac head over. In the 9th minute, the Sassarese side threatened too, with Zecca’s turn-and-shot saved by Spurio. Campobasso continued to look for a way through, but Zaccagno denied Isaac again in the 26th minute and dealt with a shot from Fogliata.
Torres had a good chance in the 46th minute, when Spurio saved first Scotto’s effort and then Zecca’s. In stoppage time, however, Campobasso broke the deadlock: from a corner, Corbo scored with a header. The Rossoblù requested an FVS review for a suspected foul on Kebbeh, but referee Nigro allowed the goal to stand.
After the break, Torres looked to raise the tempo. In the 51st minute, Zecca met Corsinelli’s cross with a header, which Corbo deflected behind for a corner. The equaliser came in the 67th minute: Mastinu shot from the left and the ball’s path, deflected by Celesia, resulted in an own goal to make it 1-1.
In the closing stages, Campobasso pushed for another goal, but Zaccagno gathered Isaac’s effort at the second attempt and the Sassarese defence held firm. Torres tried to break forward through Bunino, who had come on for Scotto, while the visitors’ final chance was a Fogliata header that went wide. The match ended after seven minutes of stoppage time.
The match drew 4,361 spectators, including 72 away fans. Greco had to do without Pennington, sidelined with a meniscus problem, as well as long-term absentees Sorrentino and Nunziatini; Masala replaced the Sassarese midfielder. The draw followed the one against Vado: Torres had finished 0-0 in its previous home match.
