Everything is ready for the season debut of Raimond Sassari. The Rossoblù will face Pallamano Trieste on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the PalaSantoru in Sassari.
The match officially opens the season for the team coached by Ratko Durkovic, who reached the Scudetto final against Cassano Magnago just a few months ago.
The match against Trieste is formally an early fixture from the third round of Serie A Gold. The game was originally scheduled for 23 September but was brought forward because of Sassari’s subsequent European commitments.

Sassari opens the new season against Trieste
The debut will not be easy. Trieste are one of the most prestigious clubs in Italian handball and hold the national record with 17 Scudetti.
Raimond, however, are coming off a season that saw them finish among the national elite, as well as a summer during which the roster was strengthened. The match at the PalaSantoru will therefore be Durkovic’s new team’s first official test and an opportunity to assess their progress.
