The Traffic Police have updated the schedule of speed monitoring activities in Sardinia, intensifying mobile checks on the island's main arteries. The operations, aimed at ensuring compliance with speed limits and preventing road accidents, will continue until Sunday, September 27, 2026.
To detect violations, patrols will use various technologies, including Autovelox 106 devices, Telelaser systems, and Telelaser Trucam. These measures are part of a periodic road safety program that aims to monitor the most intense traffic flows and the most critical stretches of road.
The daily check program
The operational plan involves the activation of stations in various provinces and on several state roads. On Wednesday, September 23, checks are concentrated on state road 125 Orientale Sarda in the Cagliari area, on state road 131 Diramazione Centrale Nuorese, and on state road 729 Sassari-Olbia. For Thursday, September 24, activity will be focused exclusively on the 131 Diramazione Centrale Nuorese.
Friday, September 25, will see a wider deployment: patrols will be operational on state road 131 Carlo Felice in the Sassari area, on provincial road 2 Pedemontana in the province of Cagliari, and, with two stations, on the 131 Diramazione Centrale Nuorese. On Saturday, September 26, checks will move to state road 131 Carlo Felice, in the section located in the Oristano area.
The final day of monitoring, Sunday, September 27, will involve four different arteries: the 131 Carlo Felice in the province of Oristano, state road 389 of Buddusò and del Correboi in the Nuoro area, and, again, the 131 Diramazione Centrale Nuorese with two dedicated stations. These interventions follow the line of previous checks in Sardinia to maintain high attention on driver safety.
