Sassari motorists and commuters from the surrounding area will have to contend with a temporary change to traffic circulation on Friday, September 18, 2026. Provincial Road 60 “Latte Dolce-Buddi Buddi-Mare” will in fact be closed to traffic to allow work commissioned by E-Distribuzione to be carried out.

Closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The measure was ordered by the Metropolitan City of Sassari through Ordinance No. 25 of September 14, 2026. Traffic will be suspended from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on September 18, with a longer time window than the estimated duration of the work, which is expected to take approximately two and a half hours. The extended hours will help manage any unforeseen circumstances or changes to the work schedule.

The affected section includes Buddi Buddi between the roundabout with the exit toward the Russeglia local road and the roundabout connecting with Provincial Road 25, which leads toward Sorso, Sennori and Castelsardo. The closure may therefore affect travel to and from the coastal areas and the Sassari countryside, especially during the middle of the day.

The alternative route

During the closure, traffic will be directed along the Baddelonga-Russeglia local road, designated as the alternative route by the Metropolitan City. The Municipality of Sassari has authorized use of the route, while the Baddelonga-Russeglia Consortium requested the installation of adequate signage to guide motorists along the diversion.

The company appointed by E-Distribuzione to carry out the work will install the signage, provide directions for the alternative route and comply with the requirements set out in the ordinance. Motorists are advised to expect possible delays and plan their journey in advance, avoiding the affected section between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. whenever possible.

The closure is part of the traffic changes that periodically affect the Sassari road network. Anyone traveling by car may also find it useful to consult the information on road checks published in the guide Speed cameras in Sassari and the province.
