The Traffic Police have scheduled a new week of speed checks on Sardinia’s main roads. The cameras will be active until Sunday 20 September 2026 and will mainly cover State Road 131 Carlo Felice, its Nuoro Central Branch and the Sassari-Olbia road. The aim is to encourage compliance with speed limits and help prevent road accidents.
The check schedule
The schedule began on Monday 14 September with checks on State Road 131 in the province of Oristano. On Tuesday 15 September, checks will cover the Carlo Felice in the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano and the SS 131 Nuoro Central Branch in the areas of Nuoro and Sassari.
On Wednesday 16 September, checks will continue on the SS 131, again in the province of Oristano, and on the Nuoro Central Branch between Nuoro and Sassari. Patrols will also be deployed on the SS 729 Sassari-Olbia that same day.
On Thursday 17 September, the schedule includes the SS 125 Orientale Sarda in the Cagliari area and a section of the SS 131 in the Sassari area. On Friday 18 September, coverage will be broader: checks will take place on the Carlo Felice in the province of Oristano, the Nuoro Central Branch in the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, the SS 554 Cagliaritana and State Roads 132 and 131 in the Sassari area.
Checks also at the weekend
On Saturday 19 September, checks will be carried out on the SS 131 in the provinces of Cagliari, Nuoro and Sassari, on the Nuoro Central Branch and on the SS 729 Sassari-Olbia. The programme also includes Provincial Road 2 Pedemontana, in the province of Cagliari.
The week will end on Sunday 20 September with checks on the SS 131 Carlo Felice along the sections between the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano and on State Road 291 in the province of Sassari. Motorists are urged to maintain a speed appropriate to road conditions and pay attention to road signs, as well as comply with the applicable limits.
