The Torres beat Latina 2-0 and remain unbeaten at the Vanni Sanna. The goals that decided Sunday’s match, played on November 8 and valid for the 13th round of Serie C Group B, came from Cristian Bunino and Francesco Corsinelli in the second half. Alfonso Greco’s side thus move up to 22 points and build on their goalless draw in Pescara.

Torres create the first chances, but it is 0-0 at the break

Torres’ first chance comes in the 9th minute: Giacomo Zecca crosses from the right and Bunino, from close range, sends a left-footed shot over the bar. Soon after, Mattia Carboni tests Mastrantonio with a shot from inside the box and also forces him to intervene on a corner that curls directly toward goal.

Latina find more space late in the first half. The clearest chance falls to Jaime Báez, who heads the ball from the center of the box but fails to get any power behind it. Zaccagno gathers it, and at halftime the score remains 0-0.

Bunino breaks the deadlock, Corsinelli doubles the lead on the counter

The understanding between Carboni and Bunino makes the difference in the opening minutes of the second half. The attacking midfielder finds the striker in the box, and Bunino beats Mastrantonio as he comes off his line with a precise left-footed shot. The goal forces Latina to push higher up the pitch, and Torres take advantage of the space that opens up.

In the 64th minute, Zecca bursts forward on the right and sends the ball into the middle for Corsinelli, who strikes first time to score his first goal in the Rossoblù. Torres come close to a third with a Zecca header from a Brentan corner. Latina try to get back into the game until stoppage time, when Marenco heads just over, but the score remains unchanged.

The Rossoblù thus finish their third consecutive match without conceding, following the 2-0 win over Guidonia and the 0-0 draw in Pescara. Their next league match is away against Perugia, on Monday, November 16.
