The Torres are adding another piece to the squad ahead of the start of the 2026/27 Serie C season. The red-and-blue club have officially announced the arrival of Mamadou Kebbeh, a young centre-back owned by Cesena.
The deal was confirmed on 18 August 2026 by the Romagna club as well, which announced the player's temporary transfer to the Sassari-based club. Kebbeh joins Torres on a season-long loan.
Who is Mamadou Kebbeh
A French centre-back born in 2006, Kebbeh developed in the Valenciennes youth academy before moving to Cesena in the summer of 2025. The black-and-white club had acquired him from the French side specifically to add him to their Primavera youth team.
Last season he played in the Primavera 1 league with Cesena, gaining experience in one of Italy's leading youth competitions. According to the announcement from Torres reported by TuttomercatoWeb and La Nuova Sardegna, the centre-back finished the season with 29 appearances and one goal.
A new young player for the red-and-blue defense
Kebbeh's arrival gives Torres another option in defense. For the young Frenchman, it is instead an opportunity to gain regular experience in professional football, following his time in Cesena's youth academy.
The new defender joins the red-and-blue squad just days before the start of the season. Torres have been placed in Group B of Serie C and will make their debut against Livorno at the Armando Picchi Stadium.
For Sassari, this is therefore another transfer move during a decisive stage of preparations: Kebbeh arrives as a young prospect, now tasked with earning a place in the Torres defense.
