First outing at the PalaSerradimigni and first win in front of their home fans for the new Dinamo Banco di Sardegna. Luca Vitali's team beat Virtus Zagreb Luca Vitali by 76-71, securing their second preseason win.

An evening that began with the official presentation of the 2026/2027 roster and continued with a hard-fought game in front of around 2,000 spectators.

Even for three quarters, then the blue-and-whites pull away

Dinamo started with Monaldi, Brunu, Aromando, Brooks and Nobili and ended the first quarter ahead 18-16.

The balance continued in the second quarter, with Sassari going into halftime at 39-38. After a spell in Croatia's favor, the blue-and-whites responded in the third period, thanks above all to Aromando, Riismaa and Monaldi, ending it ahead 59-53.

The decisive pull-away came in the final quarter. Dinamo also reached +12, before Virtus attempted a comeback late on. Sassari nevertheless remained in control and closed out the game 76-71.

Aromando leads the way, positive signs from the youngsters

Dinamo's leading scorer was Simone Aromando with 17 points, while Joonas Riismaa finished in double figures with 10.

The youngsters also provided encouraging signs: Michele Cipriano, born in 2009, scored 8 points, contributing to the win on an evening when coach Vitali had to contend with numerous absences.

Kaza Kajami-Keane and Riccardo Pisano were indeed unavailable, while Michele Vitali and Bryce Nze were rested as a precaution. New signing Brandon Young was also absent, having arrived in Sassari on the day of the game.

A win that boosts confidence in the new Dinamo

The result remains that of a friendly, but the performance offers encouraging indications ahead of the new Serie A2 season.

Dinamo showed the ability to respond in difficult moments and also received positive contributions from the bench and the younger players.
