The Dinamo Sassari host Sella Cento at the PalaSerradimigni on Saturday, October 17 at 8:30 p.m., in their second home game of the season. Ahead of the game, coach Luca Vitali set his sights on the team’s first home win, to be secured in front of the Biancoblù fans.

Vitali explained that the team had worked without any new injuries and that, at Thursday’s practice, they would hold their first team training session with almost the entire squad: Keane was expected to train separately. The coach noted that Cento have two notable American players, but that Davis will be unavailable through injury. “We want to get our first win in front of our fans,” he said as he previewed the game.

The squad’s fitness remains a key issue after the absences of recent weeks. Vitali described the team as a work in progress and stressed the importance of finding consistency. Asked about the possible playing time for Vitali and Pisano, he said he would assess them in training: if their condition allows, both could take the court for the first time this season against Cento.

The coach also spoke about the contribution of Riismaa, coming off his performance in Mestre: Vitali believes he can make a difference at both ends of the court, while stressing that every player is important to the team’s balance. Dinamo head into the game after their win in Mestre, secured by a score of 87–74.

Vitali acknowledged that the team still needs to cut out the ups and downs typical of this stage of the season, also in light of the many injuries. He said what gives him confidence is the group’s character and the players’ ability to support one another through difficult moments: “This team has a lot of heart.”

Diego Monaldi also spoke at the press conference, urging the team to build on the approach they showed in Mestre. “On Saturday, we’ll give everything for our fans,” he said, adding that starting with the right intensity is important for the team’s stamina and mentality. Monaldi also noted that the squad is adapting to different roles and that Flood’s arrival means he has less pressure at point guard.
