The Dinamo Sassari are looking for a reaction after their home defeat to Montecatini and face Gemini Mestre at the PalaSport Taliercio on Saturday, October 10. The game, part of the third round of Serie A2, was previewed by coach Luca Vitali, who called on the team to take a more decisive approach. The game against Gemini Mestre tips off at 8:30 p.m.
“We’re going to Mestre to face a great team coming off a bad loss and looking to bounce back,” Vitali said. For Sassari, the immediate reference point is the 72–81 home defeat to Montecatini on Sunday, October 4, a result that left the team with the task of turning the page on the road.

The coach identified consistency and intensity as areas for improvement: “As for us, we’ll need to approach the game differently from the way we did against Montecatini. We’ll need more aggression.” He explained that the aim is to sustain throughout the game the ability to respond that the players showed during difficult moments.
Vitali said the team had worked well during the week and expressed confidence that it could take another step forward in Mestre. He acknowledged that at this stage of the season the team may experience ups and downs, but emphasized the determination he had seen on the court and the need to maintain it for all 40 minutes.
Forward Simone Aromando also highlighted the importance of getting off to a good start: the player said they would need a different attitude from the previous game to take on a challenging away fixture and try to secure the win. Gemini are also coming off a home defeat, against Livorno.
As for player availability, captain Jeff Brooks is back after having the flu. Riccardo Pisano, Kaza Kajami-Keane and Michele Vitali are continuing their recovery. Sean Flood has completed two additional training sessions with the team and is working to integrate into the group.
This is Dinamo’s second away game of the season. The game offers a chance to see the progress Vitali has called for on the court and to bounce back after the home opener, while keeping the coach’s central demand in mind: maintain intensity and the ability to respond throughout the game.
