The Dinamo Banco di Sardegna is preparing for its home debut in Serie A2 against T Gema Montecatini, scheduled for Sunday, October 4 at 6 p.m. at the PalaSerradimigni. At the October 2 press conference, coach Luca Vitali described the group as a team with “a huge heart” and gave an update on the players’ fitness.
The game will be the second round of the league season and the first in front of the Sassari crowd. Vitali described Montecatini as an opponent with a distinctive identity, capable of giving Rimini a tough game, and warned that the team would need to maintain its consistency for all 40 minutes. The coach stressed the need to adapt to the way A2 games are officiated, particularly for Bryce, while saying he was pleased with the group’s work and day-to-day progress.

As for the unavailable players, Riccardo Pisano, Michele Vitali and Kaza are continuing their recovery and will be reassessed in the coming weeks. Jeff Brooks is dealing with the flu; Bryce had it too, but is getting better. Brandon Tyre Young, whose temporary contract the club has ended, will be out for a long time with an injury: Vitali thanked him for his contribution and for becoming part of the group. The coach also explained that Dinamo was working to register Sean Flood in time for the game, a process also involving the player’s former club.
The team comes into the game after an away win against Urania Milano, who they beat 68–70 on September 27. In Vitali’s account, Dinamo managed to stay in the game after falling behind and responded even after its opponents came back. Alessandro Grande, who scored 23 points on his debut, brought energy off the bench. The point guard missed the previous days’ practices for the birth of his daughter, Andrea Nicole, and thanked the club and the coach for their support.
Grande described Montecatini as a deep team and said the fans’ support would be a significant help during the more challenging stretches. He also explained that, with the club’s support, he was free to decide whether to be there despite his daughter’s recent birth.
