Two hours together to collect litter and care for the beach. On Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, “Let's Clean Up Porto Ferro” is taking place, an initiative promoted by Bonga Surf School, Vosma and Piccoli Passi Coop Sociale to involve local residents and visitors to the bay in protecting the coastline.

The event follows a summer during which, according to the organizers, a lack of respect for the environment compromised the cleanliness of the beach. Alongside litter collection, the initiative also aims to raise awareness and highlight the responsibility of everyone who lives in or visits Porto Ferro, one of the beaches accessible from Sassari.

Meet at the Bonga Surf School hut

The meeting point will be the Bonga Surf School hut on the beach. As stated on the flyer, bags and disposable gloves will be handed out on site.

The invitation is open to anyone who wants to help clean up the bay by spending part of the morning collecting litter. The message chosen to accompany the initiative is simple: “The sea needs us”.

To take part, meet in Porto Ferro on Saturday, October 31, with activities starting at 10 a.m. and expected to finish at noon.
