The consumer price report by the Municipality of Sassari, published on 16 October, finds that in September the price index rose by 4.3% compared with the same month in 2025. By contrast, compared with August, it fell by 0.2%: the annual figure remained positive despite the slight monthly decline.

Sassari’s annual change is close to the national figure cited by the Municipality, at 4.2%. On a monthly basis, however, the city’s figure moved in the opposite direction from the 0.7% increase recorded nationally. The 4.3% describes the trend in the basket’s price index; it does not mean that every household actually spent the same percentage more.
