New disruptions to the water supply in the Sassari area. Due to extraordinary maintenance work scheduled by Enas along a section of the Coghinas 2 aqueduct, interruptions and pressure drops will be recorded in several areas on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The works, lasting approximately 12 hours, will affect the raw water supply for the Truncu Reale and Monte Agnese treatment plants.
Affected areas in Sassari
The operator Abbanoa has prepared a distribution plan to limit the impact on citizens, but some areas will experience scheduled suspensions. In particular, the supply will be interrupted from 3 p.m. Tuesday until 8 a.m. Wednesday in the neighborhoods served exclusively by Truncu Reale via the Monte Oro pipeline, including the Historic Center, lower Monte Rosello, Sacro Cuore, Latte Dolce, Santa Maria di Pisa, Porcellana, and Piandanna. As happened during previous interventions, such as those on August 20, managing the reservoir stocks is fundamental to reducing service disruptions.
Another interruption window is planned from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday for the areas served by the Via Milano reservoir, which includes Lu Fangazzu, San Paolo, San Giuseppe, Monserrato, Tingari, middle Monte Rosello, Sassari 2, Badde Pedrosa, Monte Furru Valle Gardona, and Gioscari. No interruptions are planned for the neighborhoods supplied by the Monte Fiocca pipeline or the Quota 300 reservoir of Serra Secca.
Situation in Porto Torres, Stintino, and Alghero
In Porto Torres, the supply will be guaranteed through the use of the Li Pidriazzi wells. In Alghero, the supply to the Monte Agnese treatment plant will be ensured by Enas via the connection to the La Crucca branch. The most critical situation concerns Stintino: pressure drops may occur in the town center from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday, while for Pozzo San Nicola and the countryside, the supply will be shut off from 3 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday. To support the population, a water tanker will be available in Piazza Centrale starting from 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Abbanoa warns that, upon restoration of the service, the water may appear temporarily turbid. Any anomalies can be reported to the toll-free number 800.022.040, active 24 hours a day. The actual restoration may vary by 2-3 hours depending on the user's position in the network.
