Cristian Bunino is ready to begin his adventure with Torres. The new red-and-blue striker, who joined permanently from Cittadella on the final day of the transfer window, introduced himself in Sassari, discussing his motivations, characteristics and expectations for the new season.

The project outlined by sporting director Andrea Colombino was decisive in his choice. Bunino explained that he was immediately convinced by Torres’ proposal, also receiving positive feedback about the club from former teammate Matteo Liviero.

A mobile striker for Greco

Born in 1996, Bunino describes himself as a dynamic striker capable of moving across the entire attacking front, attacking both the spaces between the lines and in behind.

He can be deployed as either a central or second striker and, rather than occupying a fixed position, seeks freedom of movement within the attacking system.

A characteristic that gives Alfonso Greco another option in a department where Torres can already count on several quality players.

The new arrival joins a transfer campaign that has significantly reshaped the red-and-blue squad. Among the other summer reinforcements is Francesco Corsinelli, who joined permanently from Ravenna.

From Cittadella to Torres with almost 300 Serie C appearances

Bunino brings to Sassari above all experience in the division.

In the 2025/2026 season, he played 28 matches for Cittadella, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists. In total, his career record includes 285 appearances in Serie C and a further 32 in Serie B.

During his career, he has worn the shirts of, among others, Pro Vercelli, Livorno, Siena, Juventus Next Gen, Alessandria, Padova, Pescara, Lecco, Casertana, Monopoli and Cittadella.

Now in Sassari, he is also seeking the consistency that, as he admitted during his presentation, has often been lacking throughout his career.

Bunino is already available to Torres

From a fitness perspective, the new striker confirmed that he is ready to be called up as early as the next match.

Bunino completed the pre-season preparations regularly and has already accumulated some minutes in the league, although he clarified that he does not yet have a full match in his legs.

Torres therefore welcomes a striker with experience and different characteristics from the other attacking options. For Bunino, meanwhile, Sassari represents an opportunity to open a new chapter and find the consistency that the player himself considers one of the goals of his new red-and-blue experience.
