The main number to remember is 112, the European Single Emergency Number.

It should be used when the immediate intervention of law enforcement, the Fire Brigade or medical emergency services is required.

As of 2026, 116117, the European number for non-urgent healthcare assistance, is also active in Sassari.

It is used when you need a doctor outside your family doctor’s hours, but it is not an emergency requiring the Emergency Department.
