The new adventure of Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari in Serie A2 begins with a nail-biting victory. Luca Vitali's white-and-blues conquer the Allianz Cloud, overcoming Urania Milano 68-70, at the end of a game decided only in the final moments.

The man of the victory is Joonas Riismaa: at 68-68, when the game seemed destined for an even longer finish, the Estonian signed the two decisive points that make it 68-70 and give Dinamo their first success of the season.

An important start for the new Sassari project after a summer of profound renewal and a preseason affected by several physical problems.

Urania starts better, then Dinamo changes pace

The start of the game is balanced, with Milano managing to close the first quarter ahead 19-18.

However, Dinamo grows in the second period. Luca Vitali's team increases defensive intensity, conceding only 12 points to the hosts and putting up a 20-12 run, going into the locker rooms at 38-31.

Banco continues to push even after the break. In the third period, Sassari maintains control of the game and extends the lead further with a 19-15 run, entering the final ten minutes ahead 57-46.

Grande drives Dinamo, Sassari tries to pull away

Among the protagonists of the evening is Alessandro Grande, who was able to make a heavy impact off the bench.

The white-and-blue playmaker reached 20 points already during the last quarter, with four triples made and a fundamental offensive contribution in the phase where Sassari built its advantage.

The work of Jeff Brooks was also important, scoring in double digits and precious under the boards, as was that of Brandon Young.

Dinamo seems to have the game under control, but Urania never definitively exits the contest.

Urania rallies in the finale

Milano changes pace in the last ten minutes and progressively puts the Sassari formation under pressure.

The advantage accumulated by Dinamo is eroded possession by possession. About six minutes from the end, Sassari still leads 64-58, but Urania manages to get back in and brings the challenge to a perfect tie at 68-68.

After leading for much of the game, Banco thus finds itself having to play everything in the final possessions.

Riismaa signs the 68-70: Dinamo wins at the Allianz Cloud

It is in the decisive moment that Joonas Riismaa emerges.

With the score tied at 68-68, the Estonian finds the basket that puts Sassari ahead 68-70, scoring the last and most important two points of the evening.

Urania is no longer able to change the result. At the buzzer, the Allianz Cloud scoreboard says 68-70 for Dinamo Banco di Sardegna.

A finale that rewards Sassari after a game led for a long time, but which became extremely complicated in the final minutes.

The new Dinamo starts with a victory

For Luca Vitali's team, the first two points of the 2026/27 Serie A2 thus arrive.

A success that is important not only for the standings. Dinamo showed the ability to react to a complicated start, build an advantage through defense, and find different protagonists throughout the game. At the same time, Urania's comeback in the last quarter highlights the aspects on which the new group must continue to work.

But the first response from the court is positive: Urania Milano 68, Dinamo Sassari 70.

Now the debut at PalaSerradimigni

After the success in Milano, Dinamo can already look forward to the first home appointment of the season.

Sunday, October 4th at 6:00 PM the white-and-blues will return to PalaSerradimigni to face La T Tecnica Gema Montecatini in the second day of Serie A2.

Sassari will arrive there with the first two points already in the standings and with a victory won on the last possession from which to begin the new journey.
