The Fondazione di Sardegna is making €14.04 million available for projects and initiatives across the region in 2027. The Board of Directors, chaired by Giacomo Spissu, approved the new calls for applications on October 27: applications can be submitted online from November 3 to December 4.

The total includes €8.458 million for the 2027 Annual Calls, a 10.6% increase on the previous year, and €5.582 million for the final year of multi-year initiatives launched over the 2025–2027 three-year period. The new calls are open to non-profit public and private organisations working in four sectors: culture, health, local development and volunteering.

Funding and priorities

The largest allocation, €3.32 million, is earmarked for the arts and cultural activities. Volunteering, philanthropy and charity will receive €2.82 million; €1.238 million is allocated to local development and €1.08 million to public health, preventive medicine and rehabilitation.

The programme places greater emphasis on local development, with the aim of supporting communities affected by population decline and the concentration of activities in larger centres. Projects are expected to encourage people to remain in their communities, improve access to services, reduce territorial inequalities and create new opportunities for young people.

According to president Giacomo Spissu, the increase in funding will enable the Foundation to support more projects and respond consistently to local needs. The Foundation also plans to monitor and evaluate the initiatives, tracking their implementation and assessing their results against the funded objectives.

Social sport and eligible applicants

A separate call for applications for sport with social aims will also be published in 2027. It will support initiatives that promote the educational value of sport, youth participation and inclusion. In the Sassarese area, the issue is also at the heart of a Uisp project dedicated to sport and inclusion.

Applications to the annual calls are open to formally established non-profit public and private organisations, social cooperatives, social enterprises and other non-profit entities. Applicants must have relevant skills and experience, as well as the ability to establish collaborations and partnerships. The amount requested should normally be between €10,000 and €40,000 per project.

Applications must be submitted through the ROL platform on the Foundation’s website. Before submitting, organisations should check their registration details and update them if necessary, paying particular attention to the classification linked to the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS).

  • Applications open: Tuesday, November 3 at 9 a.m.
  • Deadline: Friday, December 4, 2026 at 3 p.m.
  • How to apply: submit online only via the ROL platform.
