Leroy Merlin is preparing to strengthen its workforce ahead of the opening of the new store in Sassari, in the Predda Niedda area, at the beginning of state road 291 to Alghero. The group has launched a national recruitment campaign that also includes opportunities for the Sassari area.
Among the profiles sought is that of Trainee Store Manager, a role designed to guide young graduates towards positions of responsibility in commercial management and the leadership of store teams. The training programme
The programme, called “Talentiamo”, lasts 12 months and combines practical on-the-job activities, structured training and support from dedicated mentors. The aim is to develop skills in team management, organising daily activities, analysing results and defining the store’s commercial strategies.
During the programme, the successful candidate may be involved in coordinating the department, planning shifts, managing promotional areas and monitoring sales indicators. The programme also includes training directly in the store, classroom-based sessions and online courses dedicated to sales and management skills.
Contract, salary and requirements
The initial appointment is on a 12-month full-time fixed-term contract, classified at level three under the DMO national collective labour agreement. The gross annual salary indicated in the offer is €29,584, with the aim of offering a permanent contract at the end of the first year.
The package includes, where applicable, a rent allowance, collective performance-related bonuses and access to the company share ownership plan after the first six months. The main requirements include a degree, preferably in economics, management or a related field. A short period of experience in commerce or retail, willingness to work shifts and weekends, and a collaborative leadership approach are also valued.
