An entire square will be transformed into a great open-air theater: Sunday, September 20, Piazzale Segni will be the heart of the Festa del Ritmo, the event organized by Bateras Beat Sassari and led by Fabrizio Murgia, which will draw drummers and enthusiasts from across Sardinia to the city.

An event that aims to make rhythm a language capable of bringing together musicians, generations and different territories. Countless drum kits will be the undisputed stars of a day devoted to the music and energy that professionals and amateurs alike will draw from their instruments.

Drummers from different parts of the island will in fact arrive in the city, ready to reunite, play together and create a great collective moment. One of the most spectacular features of the Festa del Ritmo will be the power of the group performance: many instruments becoming one great musical voice.

Behind the initiative is Bateras Beat Sassari, an organization that over the years has built a true community of musicians and enthusiasts around the drums. It is led by Fabrizio Murgia, who has made rhythm a tool for bringing people together, pursuing a project capable of involving not only those who play, but also the public.

A celebration for the whole city

The Festa del Ritmo will not be just a gathering for industry insiders: the event is conceived as a true celebration open to the city, with the aim of bringing music beyond traditional spaces and turning Piazzale Segni into a meeting place.

On Sunday afternoon, Sassari will therefore speak through rhythm, and the drums of musicians arriving from across Sardinia will build, beat after beat, the soundtrack of the Festa del Ritmo.
